Niki & Justin Got Married at The Casitas of Arroyo Grande. "Be Humble, Sit Down" :)

The Casitas Estate is something really different and that's why Niki & Justin chose this beautiful private place for their wedding day. Pat & Tony Goetz the owners are hands on and very caring people. The vibe is wine country but not winery, private but not lost in farm fields and looks out over the Arroyo Grande Valley with foothills all around.
The Bride & Groom chose classical guitar versions of modern songs for the prelude to the ceremony giving it a classic style with a twist. Then when it was time, professional coordinator Janet Tacy from Sandcastle Celebrations gave us the "Go" for the Bride to come down the isle, she chose Train's "Marry Me" which was about as perfect as it could be for the moment and the Bride. I loved that the Officiant quoted Kendrick Lamar to the guests as he began the tear filled ceremony by saying Welcome... "Be humble... Sit down" Afterwards they headed out to the recessional song "You are the best thing" by Ray Lamontagne, so perfect.. nailed it!
After dinner the dance party was so crazy I didn't want it to end. They went off to mainstream, oldies, hip hop and dance right up to the very end. This was a great start for a sweet couple who Thanked their guests with tears in their eyes and started their life together. This was an amazing day and like we always say, it's all about your team, surround yourself with great people and your wedding will rule, This one did and so did this couple :) -Dj Bob

June at Ragged Point Inn, Big Sur. McKenna & Dustin Got Married!

An early wedding at The Ragged Point Inn...Stunning View doesn't even begin to describe it. This place is so beautiful sometimes it stops you in your tracks. You are driving up the famous Hwy. 1 to get to the last stop before the road closes, it's June 17th, it's 75 or 80 and the sky is clear and beautiful, that alone would make you want to go. I got to be the DJ for this couple in this place on that day with almost no wind (rare in that spot) People danced, drank and had a blast with all the "stuff" we do at a wedding in 2017. Loved it and got to work with fellow CCWP member Flowers By Kim and when you check the images you'll see why she's one of the best on The Central Coast. Also got to work with Rad photographer Amanda and her crew from Heartsfoto Thanks McKenna and Dustin! Loved It

Brittney & Matt Got Married at The Grace Maralyn - DJ Bob

I wanted to share this fantastic Wedding for a couple of reasons, one because it was a couple that just made people around them feel amazing. They were country, classic rock, mainstream dance, all party and all fun! One of the highlights of the day for me was a couple in their 80's (Her Grandparents) who snuck into the barn during cocktail hour and danced song after song together just cuz they could. We should all be that lucky. I also want you to see a venue done right, not huge, not a Money show kind of venue, just Lots of heart and they take care of their clients in a huge way. It's details, it's effort and it's with class, they are what we mean when say "Fun with Style" Check this day out, so cool. Once again, a wedding that proved what we've been saying forever, Your wedding "Team" is everything, this was a great group of pro's from all over and the day shined :)         -DJ Bob

The one thing this Bride wanted was everything, a Great Husband, check, a great venue, check, big group of family and friends check, warm summer day, check. ...........all good start to finish, we provided a big look and we decked the amphitheater at Robert Hall Winery with pink uplighting and as you can see a custom made "monogram in light" projected on the main tower. This is great look which really set the stage for a wonderful night in Paso Robles.
The Ceremony was on the adjacent terrace with all guests looking out over the grapes as far as you could see, what a view. 8 groomsmen and 8 bridesmaids witnessed a very personal ceremony with all the emotion you would expect.

Kara and Brian got married at Tiber Canyon Ranch May 17th, love this.

Kara and Brian at Tiber Canyon Ranch, (original pic by Ballesteros photography)
If you read this blog at all, I want you to get what this day actually felt like, so be sure to see the pictures at the bottom. Kara and Brian had the beautiful day, The beautiful location (Tiber Canyon Ranch, an Olive Ranch tucked into the hills near Pismo Beach Ca.), The flowers were stunning, (D&D floral really "Got" this bride) They wanted what I call the beautiful "modern romance"style mixed with a warm, friendly and inclusive vibe which by the way... They nailed.
The Bride Kara was this beautiful, smart, amazing person who we met while she was raising money to help Hospice and when I met Brian I could see a mile away they had that "thing" that makes you know they're supposed to be together. I know that's corny but it's real, deal with
The Ceremony was happy and so cool over looking the distant valley from the deck of the ceremony area. After that, the guests drank and enjoyed their cocktails while playing corn-hole, then it was on to dinner. Dinner was done Central Coast style by Tanner Jacks and it rocked.
Dinner and all the "stuff" carried us into the twilight and then on to dancing for the rest of the night. I always try to gauge the event by watching the faces of the Bride and Groom and when they both hugged me at the end of the night, it was all good. That's a great day, Loved it.
Now future Brides!, here are all the details.... once again a very solid team of people led by a hard working "Day of" coordinator made this day awesome. Always know that the team you put together is key to your day being everything it can be.

A beautiful wedding at The Casitas Arroyo Grande with Matt & Breanne

Matt and Breanne Perkins
Matt and Breanne are from northern Ca. have friends and family all over and they made what we tell our amazing clients is one of the smartest choices ever. They found a venue that fit them, built a team of vendors that was off the hook and enjoyed their day with style. The Casitas Arroyo Grande was the venue they chose and it was (all be it a windy day), a perfect match for them. At a particularly chilly point we moved everything inside (wedding party and all) and took advantage of the beautiful indoor space at The Casitas to do the toasts while their guests got warm by the fireplace. Normally....... this may not be a highlight but suddenly at that point it became very personal for the Bride and Groom as the toasts and speeches went on. You can't plan for a strong moment like that and yet it will be one their best memories I think. The guests were set up for fun with every detail dialed in with food from the always great Chef Mike from Chefs Table Catering (finished off with their famous "flaming doughnuts" presentation) to the custom cocktails and little craft touches throughout the venue. The dancing took off later and was a big mix of styles with 80's, reggae, mainstream and classic rock and finished up with a special dedication to their Grandparents who had passed. This was a great day surrounded by beauty, Thank You to the new Mr. and Mrs. Perkins, we loved being part of your day.

Clay & Lindsey Got Married, This was the quintessential Central Coast Wedding.

Clay and Lindsey enjoying their moment in the vines with the A-team of photographers

We are in the business of weddings, we are there to see and share so many of these events and we normally think the world of our couples. This day was no different but then again it was, Clay and Lindsey are friends of ours and Clay is also a wedding photographer and we've been on the team together for so many other brides. This had to be perfect, it had to. They had a vision for The "Modern Romantic" style that is a little different, very detailed and very personal to them. When a wedding pro gets married, they know what the day is capable of being. It has to be said they had a team of wedding pro's that was insane, we felt honored to even be part of it. they could not have done a better job matching their style to the team. If you want to see how a great wedding comes together, read on.
The ceremony was done by the Grooms father in a way only someone who loves you can do it. They stood under two huge Oaks at Tres Hermanas Winery, the pictures will tell the story, no one took their eyes off of Clay and Lindsey for the entire thing and the vows were a moment of their own. After the ceremony, the guests moved to another part of the winery for cocktails and fun. The music for this part of the day was a live Trio... "The Band Edison" I loved them! They did covers but with a cool flare that was awesome. (Their version of Summertime Sadness was just again, they found the perfect group to fit the vision. For our Brides planning a future Day, take this to heart, if you find the right team, you will always have the right day..:)
Then came dinner, and what a meal, the food was prepared with amazing style and a flare for "foodie" flavor by Chef Mike Foley and Chefs Table Catering. This is by far one of the best catering companies on The Central Coast of California but they are more than catering, a family based team who always reach further to get it right. Becky Foley leads the service end and they have a team of people on every event with smiles and the clean cut look you have to have. they were the perfect choice for this event.
It needs to be said that this wedding was coordinated by Colleen Gregory from Eventful Wedding Planning. We work with good coordinators all the time but the best ones are the glue for the event. She's one of those, she did an incredible job of balancing the very detailed ... (very detailed) vision for the day with all of the curves she was thrown and came through with flying colors. The take away for you future brides should be this, have a coordinator and allow them to lead by allowing your team to be as good as they are. She did, they did and it was amazing to watch. You have to have someone who knows your vision to make the details happen without you having to deal.
Then came the night!, the dance floor warmed up with couples dancing to Dean martin and Frank Sinatra while Clay and his stunning Bride went for sun-down shots on the edge of the green fields that surround this beautiful winery. When they returned we had a very cool version of a Hall and Oats classic for their 1st dance which led us to a custom recorded original song for the Father Daughter dance played and sung by her family. The other dances led straight to a night of dancing which was the crazy, insane kind of fun that makes the night seem to go too fast .... Then the grand send off in a classic 40's sedan. Watching them go was ........well, like the beginning of the real Happily Ever After. This is how it's supposed to be.  .... and now for all the details..:)
