Kayla & Neil got Married in Modern Country Style at Windfall Farms

Windfall Farms, the "Farm" built for Horse Racing's most expensive pure breads is now one of the most beautiful Wedding venues in California. The multi million dollar horse stables are now hosting beautiful Weddings surrounded by picture perfect horse pastures and the still active horse training areas are full of stunningly beautiful horses. This was Saturday, April 13th and it was everything Every Bride & Groom are hoping for when they plan their big day.
When we first met Kayla and her Mom, the plans were already in full Go mode, they wanted the Modern Country vibe and the music was going to be huge part of it. I really liked Kayla and she talked about Neil like he was larger than life, so this was going to be fun! Both are very cool, very real and very good shots, competitive shooting is their world and they Love their guns! they even had pics all around the room done by Amanda Kline, the modern progressive photographer who can put a killer twist on any event and even included one engagement shot of them with pistols out! heartsandhorseshoes.com
The ceremony looked out over this "Farm" and was breezy, warm and beautiful with music from the Twilight soundtrack ushering a gorgeous Bride to her waiting life. The horses were running in the background with Their friends and family looking on from the green lawns in front of the stables. Afterwards the guests were treated to Country Music and Cocktails in the converted bar area just inside a Huge sliding entry surrounded by Glass panels to allow for brilliant light. Afterwards the group moved to the inside dining area and a wood fired menu created by MaMa's Meatball. The food including Prime Rib was really good, really really good. the wine was Eberle and included several  selections.
The entire event was made even more amazing with Flowers by Kim. www.flowersbykim.com She did what she does so well, that it set this event off. From the center displays to bouquets,................ She just nailed it, see the pic below! That's why we like working with her every time.
It would be wrong to forget the event specialists who are the life blood of these kinds of days, right from the 1st vision of the Bride to the execution of every detail. Windfall Farms is represented by Megan, handling every detail and accommodation with a totally pro way of doing things. The main event coordinator was Christina from Heald Wedding Consulting. www.healdweddingconsulting.com She's a seasoned pro from The Sonoma area who now calls the Central Coast home. Her experience showed right out of the shoot and never slowed down, I love it when a team of professionals is allowed to do what they do best and is headed up by a great team leader who's entire goal is to Make the Bride and Groom happy, That's how a Wedding should be done....... Lori & Chris, The Elegant Santa Barbara Wedding with a Tennessee Twist

The main reception area was beautiful
at Montecito Country Club near Santa Barbara.

We like to travel when the chance arrives and when The Brides Mom found us through a another wonderful client we had done two weddings for, We jumped at the chance to work In Montecito, about an hour and half away from our Central Coast world. We were paired up with a coordinator we knew well,  Kelly Clark Leonard who owns "Event Of The Season" event coordinators in Santa Barbara, Ca. She does very elegant, very stylish weddings and events throughout Southern California and the Central Coast. http://www.eventoftheseasonsb.com
The client was a destination couple who live in Huntington Beach but have football and college connections from all over, with the Brides father being a very well known College Football Coach. Having said that, we focused everything on the Bride & Groom for their day.
The ceremony was hosted on the lawn over looking The Santa Barbara area with music provided by a classical quartet who were amazing to say the least, playing almost entirely music from this century.... loved it! The Organic String Quartet is the name of this group,  (You can Email them for info at organicstringquartet@gmail.com )
With all of the wonderful venues in our area, this was a very elegant break and The Bride and Groom had a great team of vendors providing the style and feel they wanted for the entire event and The Venue was a big part of that. Loved it, even the Tennessee fight song....lol :) .....DJ Bob

The Egg-stravaganza in Pismo Beach 2013

Every year, it grows in size and scale, parking is a little tough but Every year we see families getting to spend a day together having fun in the park as Pismo celebrates The Egg-stravaganza and it's worth whatever it takes to create something this great. It started above with people streaming in from all over 5-cities. We (Sean Forsberg from Bule Wave Ent. helped out with additional sound and labor) set up to play music in Dinosaur Park overlooking the Ocean in Shell Beach. Colleen and the crew from Pismo Rec had Egg hunts set up for all different age groups with over 10,000 eggs in all being spread all over just before the madness began. Sunny Country 102.5 and 96.1 were out with a promo crew as well as the fox 99.1 and their great Fox mascot joining the Easter Bunny to take pictures with all the kids and their Families. We even had the KSBY camera stud there shooting the huge crowds www.ksby.com.
We had Pismo PD "D.A.R.E." and Pismo Fire doing what they do for kids and making connections. Mayor Shelly Higgenbotham was there helping out with this wonderful event as usual and even the new City manager James R. Lewis came out to see the wonderful job the entire city crew does. Thousands attended and it was a blast This year I want to make sure you know who the vendors are that take part in making this such a huge success so please check them out and support the local businesses that keep Pismo and Shell Beach the family oriented towns they are. We had Mr Dog, a Pismo Hot Dog legend! they are always great. Premier Inflatables killer Bounce Houses slobounce.com
We also had the support of volunteers form the LDS church who are always ready to help and because they are a younger group, were giving up part of their Spring Break to help out for the community. We also had the Orange Cat Cafe www.facebook.com/theorangecatcafeandcoffee doing hot cocoa, coffee, and tasty treats! The other great vendor was Jan's Kettle Corn, 805-489-2305. I know this isn't all of the great people and businesses represented but I hope it shows just how fun this day actually is! Woo Hoo! This was a great day, below is a pic of just one part of the crowd... lol

3/13/13 Back To Monarch Dunes For Kelly & Tim's Wedding

Kelly and Tim are self professed "Nerds", Two hilarious people who got married and are just a Blast! From video game names for the tables to Vows you had to hear to believe, we were laughing from start to finish and I think they are going to spend their lives together that way. Their ceremony was over looking the golf course, officiated by a good friend who pulled it off with a cool nerd-iness that made it very warm and friendly. The reception was constant laughter and included a great meal provided by Brook and her crew from Epic Catering.  www.epiccatering.net  The dancing kept rolling right through the end of the night loud and proud! What a great night for a Wedding! Thanks to Amy and her crew at Monarch Dunes, Nicole, and Owen You Rule!  www.monarchclubevents.com for once again hosting and doing a fantastic job. The photography was by Julia Moegelin, who was really fun to work with and made things easy and smooth.

March 7th .....Ladies Night Out For CASA Goes Off at SLO Country Club!

LADIES NIGHT OUT....For CASA........
Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. http://www.slocasa.org/

I've been helping them do fundraising for almost 4 years and when you think about fundraising, it brings to mind a fun night with silent auctions, maybe some good wine and spending some money to help a group do good things. This night is all of that..... and then sooooo much more. Bill and his amazing crew at San Luis Obispo Country Club www.slocountryclub.com  provided food and set the stage for a room full of professional Women to have fun with a huge list of raffle prizes being given away throughout the night. We up-lit the room in hot pink and hosted a dance floor full of these gorgeous Women just flat out going off! ...lol The raffle included prizes like Cases of great wine, weekend get aways to Reno, Symphony nights out, Spa Days and Hair styles, (even a new IPAD 4!) so many great winners with all of the money raised being donated.
The Executive Director for CASA, The wonderful Theresa Tardiff spoke about the kids they help and the importance of events such as this to CASA for the kids who will need them in the future and how much it means to our community.  We love Alyssa Maddren, she's our contact for CASA, she's the Event Coordinator she keeps us on point and on time and without her we would fall apart...lol If it all seems warm and fuzzy, it's because it is, they believe so whole heartedly in the cause they represent that it shows in everything they do.
I would be leaving out a huge part of this night if I didn't tell you about some friends of mine that are the motivating force behind this and so many other events. The Meathead Movers, et. Al. www.meatheadmovers.com  ........Funny Name :) .... but a Super successful company that has grown up from our community to become a West Coast Force in the Moving Industry. My good friends Aaron & Erin Steed, Evan Steed, even beautiful Angela & so many of their staff members. I started doing events like this (I call it Having fun - doing good) years ago at the invitation of Aaron Steed, at first I thought "well this will be fun" but I just looked at it as another dance floor to rock. Now after all of these amazing events I wouldn't give them up for all the money in the world and CASA is one of the best. Meathead has a large group pf student athlete's in tuxedo's that host the Ladies all night and add a fun element competing for tips that all get donated back. It needs to be said that every one of the Meathead staff donate their time and energy to this event, some of these guys are professional athlete's now or will be soon and go on to every kind of success you can think of. I also want to mention James who is a Mgr. for Meathead, he is a calming force for their crew and is a great addition to their group.
If you don't do anything for anyone else this year, attend a CASA event and Have Fun Doing Good, We do and we love it.

What a NIGHT! The SLO women's shelter Annual Fund Raiser at Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo

Huge Crowd during the Auction  at The Expo Center
This our 4th year donating a performance to support the "Phyllis Madonna Musical Review" raising money for the S.L.O. Women's Shelter. They're always fun, always a huge showing of people and I'll just say it, they're exactly what living in San Luis Obispo is supposed to be about. This year however was different, bigger (over 650 people just at the Saturday night show), it included a show that can only be described as awesome. They managed to make fashion, dance, live singing and lip sync into a truly entertaining, fun and amazingly high energy night. The crowd was a who's who of SLO politics, business and social life with people like Phyllis Madonna,  Sheriff Ian Parkinson and his wife Amy,  Supervisor Adam Hill, Assemblymen Katcho Achadjian, Former Senator Sam Blakeslee,  Dr. Renee Bravo, County Supervisor Bruce Gibson, Aaron and Erin Steed with Evan Steed, Angela and friends (some of our favorite people), The KSBY TV news anchors John Reger and Jeanette Trumpeter and crew, A whole bunch of Twissleman Family members, and on and on and on.
Mixing for a full dance floor!
Our job at this event is the Party at the end of both nights, we get to be the music and MC for what can only be described as a HUGE dance party. While the staff at Madonna Inn is hard at work, we rock every kind of music and keep the dance floor jumping and drinks flowing till the end of the night. This is fun no matter how you look at it and we had a blast. I love mixing for this kind of crowd and they have so much fun, it's just awesome to be a DJ on these nights. The fact that it's also raising money for an amazing cause makes it just that much more incredible. ........Great Job Phyllis....Again!

Here are the links! Have Fun.

Wedding Of Amythyst and Jeff At Monarch Dunes at Trilogy

Weddings are NOT all the same, sometimes they are huge parties and sometimes they are undefinable. This was a night of class, deep burgundy accents, amazing Families and a very definable connections to their beliefs. The Bride and Groom got married in the sculpture Garden in front of 150 of the friends and family. The officiant was warm, personal and connected which makes for a wonderful ceremony. The cocktail hour took place as the sun went down in front of a fireplace in the Atrium of the resorts clubhouse. The reception was at times elegant, with  Food by Phil's Catering,   www.philscatering.com   (Andy and the crew did a great job and as usual the food rocked.) at times hilarious and at times even emotional. When two cool people meet, plan their big day, invest their time (and lets face it their money), this is how it's supposed to be. It was an honor to be part of it .....DJ Bob

one of the best Retirement Parties Ever in Pismo Beach

One of the best retirement parties EVER! .. We work with the City of Pismo Beach on so many fun events every year but this night was different. Kevin Rice has been the City mgr. for Pismo beach for as long as I can remember but his service to the Country was always part of his life with 30 years in the Army with the rank of Colonel, then on to a long Stint Traveling the world for the U.S. in China, (This guy is no joke). He is however one of the nice guys you meet so rarely when you deal with Government, a real leader who leads.
They roasted Kevin all night with stories jokes and gifts that kept us laughing as he sat on a Gold throne."They" being people like the Mayor of Pismo, the Police Chief, The Fire Chief, City Council Members and Department Heads. All of this after a wonderful meal prepared for us by
Huckleberry's restaurant in Pismo, one of my favorite places to recover over breakfast on Sunday's (that's a big Yum).
We wrapped up the evening with dancing and said good Luck and Thank You to a true public servant who when I asked him at a Christmas Party in December what he was going to do after, simply said (with a smile), "I'm going to spend some time with My Wife." The best answer ever. .......DJ Bob
