A Fun Desert Wedding! Alicia & Dominic at Hyatt Indian Wells Resort, Palm Desert, California

                                  DJ Bob - Phase 1 Mobile DJ 805-440-5504 www.p1dj.com

Beautiful decor set with our amber uplighting the the Hyatt Indian Wells.

We are absolutely blessed to do most of our events on California's beautiful Central Coast in and around San Luis Obispo. A few times a year we get a chance to travel and do events in other areas, this time we were in the Desert at a Hyatt Resort in Indian Wells (in the Palm Springs area) which is actually where this DJ grew up. I got a chance to spend time with friends and family and see how a different area hosts events. The scale is different, the style is generally more formal but the end goal is the same, make our clients day be exactly what they want. We worked with a coordinating team from "The Bride and I" and I'll just say it, April is no joke, total class, I'll work with her team any time. She was handed a venue which is beautiful, (at times very busy) and the event locations were spread all over this huge property. She did what the best coordinators do, dialed in the flow of the event in her timeline and her vendors which kept everything on track. The Bride and Groom were young, fun and crazy with both families and all of their friends having the time of their lives. While I won't be giving up our beautiful area any time soon, it was great to see good vendors doing what they do in a different setting. Thank You to The Feist and Donati Families for including me on this amazing day, I loved being your DJ. For those of you Brides planning a Wedding, I took tons of pics (remember these are from my phone..lol) below and added all the vendor info from So Cal.... :) good times

The inside of Taft Ranch barn for Liz and Doug's wedding march 29th with DJ Bob
Taft Ranch has one of the largest barns I've ever seen, from the amazing flowers done to perfection to the easy going photographer, this place was utilized to it's greatest extent by this Fireman and his Bride. A windy but beautiful day set the stage for a perfect ceremony and a reception that was so different than most. They even had a huge life size version of beer pong to go with all of the festivities. This was a fun, crazy day with a great couple. Thanks to all the great vendors that helped make it all roll. Lots of pics below and all the vendor info, Go Bride's GO :)

Let's Roll! Nancy & Gabe, Got Married at Madonna Inn with DJ Bob Feb 1st, 2014

Madonna Inn is always a great place to get married and lived up to it's rep for our 1st wedding of the year. Gabe and Nancy are so nice and wanted us be part of their big day after meeting us at the Central Coast Bride Wedding Fair last year. When a Bride and Groom connect with us in the midst of a huge event like that with all our main competition in the room as well, it's an amazing compliment. From the music to the Food and the whole vibe, the vision they had for the night was put in to full bloom by Ricardo from Elegant Details, we provided the uplighting which was the crowning touch to the colors they chose and the room really popped.  The easy style of this Bride and Groom showed in every part of the night. awesome...... and for you future Brides, here are all the details on their team of great Wedding Pro's. Palm Desert Wedding Style with Nick & Brenda at Palm Valley Country Club

This Wedding for Nick and Brenda at Palm Valley Country Club in Palm Desert Cal. had a touch of everything. It was emotional at times, crazy fun and especially cool because of the Bride and Groom. They even had a Giraffe, yes I said a giraffe...lol.  Everything started with an amazing ceremony on the edge of a golf course, then the guests were sent inside to a cocktail hour with a different twist on the photo booth idea featuring a hosted set with full lighting and a studio backdrop. The main room was set and ready as you can see above for the reception which began with Jazz and Rat Pack Style. After dinner the toasts and speeches were powerful to say the least in the absence of Nicks' Father who had passed. There was a place at the Family table for him and I couldn't help but feel like this was the perfect way to honor the memory and include him in the event. If you're planning a Wedding and are trying to find a way to connect a Family member, this was total class and is the way to do it. The dancing and fun went on from there ending with a sparkler lined send off to Their Honeymoon in Belize.
Every Bride and Groom plans for their Big Day in there own way, this fit them to a "T". I was so proud to be there, Thanks Balsamo's, Now go be Happily Ever After. :)
For everybody else, Please check out the Pic's below for Idea's.

This was a couple who had style, class and were just so nice. They actually lifted up the people around them just by being themselves. Kathy and Matthew are from San Diego and their destination wedding was in full wine country style on a Thursday at Hammersky Vineyards. The ceremony was warm and personal, with an amazing view of rolling hills and Grape vines as full of grapes as I've ever seen them anywhere, (it's almost harvest time) The Bride came in to "Love me tender" by Nora Jones (So Cool). The Bride and Groom then went for pics and the guests were given the option of either wine tasting or a bar with signature cocktails. Back to The Grace Maralyn! with Zak and Ansley 9.14.13

The Grace Maralyn is a wonderful place for a Wedding.
Zak and Ansley live in San Diego, They wanted a party with a Wedding attached....lol The ceremony was in the Garden at The Grace Maralyn in rural Atascadero, California. The style was Modern Romantic with a big mix of cool idea's from friends and Pinterest. They put together a team of vendors led by Terry and Lisa, the on-site coordinators from TGM. The guests were playing cool yard games during the cocktail hour and enjoyed beverages throughout the property. After pics the Bride and Groom joined the party with a Grand Entrance into a buffet meal prepared by McGee's Catering. The barn at TGM is a really great space which becomes the center for dancing later in the night. This was no exception, the dancing was off the hook and We stretched the music (new, old, everything) up to the last minute and ended with Queen's "Fat Bottom Girls".... lol ....awesome. Every Wedding has its style and this one was all about Ansley & Zak, We made some friends, had a blast and sent them on their way to Happily Ever After. Thanks to You Two and your Families, Loved it.

Jenae & Brandon Got Married! at The Holland Ranch Sep. 7th

Jenae and Brandon had known eachother since the seventh grade and life gave them eachother for life. The Wedding was at Holland Ranch, one of the beautiful venues we love most. The main contact there is Jamie Strand and she rocks, if you want for your Big day what we want for every Bride..... "Fun with Style"...... Get ahold of her. The ceremony was on the lawn over looking the ranch with beautiful horses and a lake in the background. I always say every Bride has a minute, the time when all the planning, all the work, all the money becomes second to how she feels at exatly that minute. For Jenae it was when she looked at Brandon while he said his vows, a smile with tears that showed what it meant to her, it was just a moment very few of us that were there will forget. The Guests then headed up to the famous Barn at Holland to enjoy cocktails and finger food and then a wonderful Dinner. Plemmons catering and their crew were terrific, I Love the food they provide and they always have a smile on, simply put.. that's how it should be done. This was a Modern Country event and the creativity was over the top. very cool. Thank You Jenae and Brandon, ......... Nice
